The 2023 Artist Gathering: Navigating A Digital Age is a one-day workshop intensive for artists of all levels and backgrounds. Attend a series of workshops that break down how to start your online presence, navigate social media, and find useful digital tools to help make your passion successful in a digital space.

A brief overview of the topics and workshops.
This gathering is for learning, sharing, and connecting. Presentations will cover essential topics for the business side of being an artist and using digital tools to support your practice:

Setting up a Digital Presence as an Artist - learn how to use social media, websites, free graphic design software (Canva) and other tools to showcase, sell, and promote your art.

Transitioning to Professional - learn about artist statements, artist cvs, tracking income & expenses for taxes and more.

Grants & Resources - learn what grants are available to you, how to register for online grant portals and complete successful applications. Discover what networks and resources are available to artists (including ones specific to BIPOC artists and other communities).

Grant information will be presented in partnership with the BC Arts Council and the First Peoples' Cultural Council.

Free Lunch - the event will also include a free lunch for participants.

Networking Opportunities - build relationships and connect with the community.

Photo Opportunities - there will be an optional opportunity for artists to have a professional photographer take a headshot and photo of a small scale artwork.
